Sunshot: Australia’s opportunity to create 395,000 clean export jobs charts
For the last year-and-a-half, WWF-Australia has been calling on Australia’s governments to develop and invest in plans that harnesses our unique renewable energy export opportunity and positions Australia as a global renewable energy export superpower.
Today, WWF-Australia, in partnership with the Australian Conservation Foundation, the Australian Council of Trade Unions, and the Business Council of Australia released a report that demonstrates just how significant this opportunity is; the report, Sunshot: Australia’s opportunity to create 395,000 clean export jobs charts a path for the country through the global transition to net-zero that delivers new jobs. The new analysis from Accenture shows that Australia could generate $89 billion in new trade by 2040 through bold, coordinated action and investment. Read the summary report or full report here.

You can view the open letter we will be sending here. It will be published on October 26th, alongside print advertisements in The Australian and The Daily Telegraph including the logos of the open letter signatories.
