Climate-KIC Australia acts as a catalyst for demand-led, systems scale climate solutions by connecting key players across the whole innovation pathway. We offer a new way to link research, business, entrepreneurs, investors and government to facilitate systemic change which addresses the challenges and harnesses the opportunities of climate change.

The Institute for Sustainable Futures is an inter-disciplinary research and consulting institute at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), delivering independent, project-based research to support communities, governments and businesses to create change towards sustainable futures. The Energy Futures group has extensive experience working across a diverse range of economic, technical and policy areas on knowledge and tools towards equitable, low-cost and low-carbon energy systems.

WWF partners with the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and Businesses for Social Responsibility (BSR) under the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance (REBA), an international not-for-profit alliance working to help corporates, cities and public institutions to buy renewable energy, and to help make the transition to a low-carbon economy easier, connecting large buyer demand to renewable energy supply.

Rocky Mountain Institute founded the Business Renewables Center and continues to be the BRC’s “home”. An independent nonprofit founded in 1982, RMI transforms global energy use to create a clean, prosperous, and secure low-carbon future. It engages businesses, communities, institutions, and entrepreneurs to accelerate the adoption of market-based solutions that cost-effectively shift from fossil fuels to efficiency and renewables.

International network partners

BRC-A partners with for-purpose organisations to leverage complementary efforts towards even greater impact in the corporate renewable energy market.

In particular, Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA, formerly Business Renewables Center) is Rocky Mountain Institute’s leading initiative and of the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance – a partnership of four NGOs – RMI, World Wildlife Fund, World Resources Institute, and BSR—that coordinate across their respective corporate renewable energy efforts. Further initiatives include WRI’s Corporate Renewable Energy Buyers’ Principles and the BSR’s Future of Internet Power.

In addition to the USA, Business Renewables Center operates in Canada (BRC-Canada).
