Congratulations to Barwon Water

Congratulations to Barwon Water who announced its PPA for renewable electricity in partnership with Barwon Health and GeelongPort via the Barwon Renewable Energy Partnership (B-REP).

The group has secured a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with ACCIONA Australia Energia’s Mount Gellibrand Wind Farm in August this year. This project is the final step for Barwon Water to meet its target of using 100% renewable electricity by 2025, and a huge step towards their target of achieving net zero emissions by 2030. A BRC-A member, Barwon Water participated in our Buyers PPA Training Bootcamp in 2020. In August last year, we published the Request for Proposals (RFP) on our website to support their in competitive tender process. Congratulations to the team involved!
