About the guide
This guide has been prepared by the BRC-A with the support of NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE). The objectives of this guide are to support the growing number of Councils contracting renewable energy via PPA. It provides:
- An accessible resource on the key options, the pros and cons and best practice offsite renewable energy
procurement. - Information on what councils can and cannot do in relation to PPAs under the Ministerial Investment Order based on advice from the Office of Local Government.
- An overview of retailer market offers for PPAs.
