Jackie and her team launched the BRC-A in 2018. Jackie has over 15 years’ experience in carbon and energy management, project development management, renewable energy procurement, decarbonisation strategy, strategic planning, corporate advisory & stakeholder engagement. Her career experience spans energy, property, infrastructure, retail, finance and government sectors.
Jackie has an MBA (Renewable Energy & Sustainability), and since launching the BRC-A, Jackie has been committed to corporate education and solutions on renewables and carbon.

Christopher Lee
Program Director
Christopher Lee is the CEO of Climate-KIC Australia. Its purpose is to help bring innovative climate change solutions to market by connecting key players across the whole innovation pathway. It focuses on systemic change, education, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Chris has extensive climate change adaptation experience and from 2009 to 2017 led the development and implementation of Climate Change Adaptation programs for the NSW Government. He has degrees in Economics and Environmental Management, and has experience across, public, private and university sectors.

Bridget Weston
Project Officer
Bridget Weston is a recently graduated Project Officer at BRC-A, holding a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Technology Sydney. With a strong passion for sustainability and the environment, Bridget has an interest in the nexus between renewable energy initiatives and their implications on biodiversity.
She has previously worked with the University of Technology’s, Climate Change Cluster (C3), performing laboratory work using microalgae to extract Rare Earth Elements (REEs) from mining waste. Bridget has also worked with UTS’s Institute of Sustainable Futures (ISF) alongside the Energy Futures and Healthy Environments teams.

Chris Briggs is a Research Principal in the Energy Futures team at the ISF. Chris has over 20 years of experience in policy, research and advocacy, working in Federal, State and City Government, the non-government and university sectors.
As a political adviser, he led the policy unit in the Office of Lord Mayor for Sydney, Clover Moore, which has been an international leader in city energy innovation and was the climate and energy policy adviser for Senator Christine Milne (Leader, Australian Greens). As a policy-maker, Chris was the State Coordinator for the NSW Renewable Energy Precincts and Senior Economist for the Climate Change Policy Branch. As a university researcher, Chris was an Australian Research Council research fellow and worked as a researcher for a self-funding labour market and workplace research centre.

Jonathan Prendergast
Technical Director
Jonathan is a clean energy project and procurement advisor and manager, with 12 years’ experience in development of innovative projects and contract structures.
Jonathan has achieved several Australian first innovative energy projects, including development of Australia’s first District Heating system, District Cooling Customer agreement and offsite solar PPA. Jonathan has worked on many corporate renewable energy PPAs over the last 5 years performing advisory, procurement management and energy market analyst roles.
